A Tribute
The ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who has died in Australia at the age of 62, presided over the transformation of the small Middle East kingdom into a thriving modern state.
The United Arab Emirates today lost a historic leader who devoted his life to establishing the UAE and enhancing its structure and the welfare of its people.

hi MD and uaebelle,
May I ask...both of u are from Dubai/UAE? care to share with us..we are outsiders working here..why are the two leaders so loved by many in the arab nations and even in other parts of the world? perhaps in your blogs..u could share with us their achievements etc..that will be very enlightening!
8:33 PM
A double coffee and strong hot tea please
5:50 AM
sure..but u have to send me a box of Fried Bánh Chưng first..i think it goes well with a double shot expresso.LOL

But what did he die of? He was relatively young, early 60's I believe, and from what I understand the country is not releasing the cause of death. How strange is that!
9:03 AM
hopefully..i don't really know..they will release some kind of official statement?
