Wedding or Funeral?

"The southern Lebanese town of Qana is believed by some to be where Jesus performed his first miracle, at the wedding in Cana of Galilee mentioned in the Gospel of St John.

More than 40 people (at least half were children) have been killed in air strikes on Qana

But in modern times it is blood - not water and wine - that is indelibly linked with the town, the blood of Lebanese civilians killed in Israeli bombing...."

I really don't understand....I am totally numbed.
Children are the happiest at a wedding....their laughter brighten the entire occasion...
Children are the saddest at a funeral...they have no idea what's going on...
I have never attended a child's funeral before...it must be devastating..
The people in the UN, Madam Condoleeza Rice..etc :Are u sleeping well?...

Totally numbed is exactly my thoughts. Can't even string together a sentence properly about this.

If you knew what Israel was saying... You're mind would simply collapse as mine seems to have done.

Hot Lemon posted one of the Israeli news articles in her blog. Utterly shocking.

Impossible to understand that these sons of Abraham (Isaac and Ismael) cannot be abble to find the way to peace. And ever blood... 32 children, 57 civilians dead.
This so beautiful Lebanese flag with the cedar (not the same shape when young). You chose the right symbol.

Lots of children died in the 9/11 hijacked airplanes too. I was so sad to read of a young family, they had a 2 or 3 year old daughter. All dead.

My friend's grandson died several years ago. I do not think he was even one year old. It was actually the first funeral I ever attended in my life. It was quite sad but I think it meant alot to my friend that several of us, her co-workers attended.

I'm sorry Junebee, but who brought 9/11 up, I can't feel any sympathy to America right now after all they are sending their "up to date" weapons to kill on our people.
Condoleeza Rice is a monster I asked my self the same question..how can she sleep with peace with her stance, I can't believe this is all happening and there is barely any reaction to it..none..
Nice post BF.

And ummm... 9/11 was one incident. I believe more INNOCENT people have been killed in Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine, and now Lebanon since.

And eye for an eye, or an eye for arms & legs?

I feel for the victims of 9/11 and their families. But NOTHING makes these condoned invasions, the murder of civilians in numbers greater than America has ever known warranted.

Let alone the fact that I'm impartial to believe that it was Islamic terrorists behind the 9/11. The conspiracy theories pointing at the US government as the terrorists of it's own nation, are becoming more and more logical every day, as new facts are being made known. It's a pity the majority of the American public isn't privy to this type of information, let alone know it exists.

The killing of anyone sucks. Why compare one life with another? It's all a bunch of crap.

Bush is supposed to be a "born again" Christian, Condoleeza Rice is the daughter of a preacher, yet these two both carry on like Satan's Helper. Beirut being destroyed, those thousands of people being displaced and hundreds dying...absolutely tragic and awful and it makes me want to cry! Damn America! And Damn to Europe for not standing up against us and forcing a cease-fire! Israel's evil actions should not be tolerated, death is final and there is no excuse for all this killing of the Lebanese civilians!

Hello. I find it so interesting when we can link incidents and places in the Bible with our present day and time. My heart goes out to the people of Lebanon as well. May God bring peace to them and Israel. As for the Bush Administration...I don't know what to say??

I going to check out your photos. They look interesting.

So sad what's going on in our world today, no such word as "stability", and now with what happened in London with the terror threats at the airport all I wonder is "what's next?"

Wow! what an interesting name!
Perhaps it's good to reflect on Stephen Hawkings' question to yahoo:
In a world that is in chaos politically, socially and environmentally, how can the human race sustain another 100 years?
