Gently Ple...assssssssssse!!!!!!!
During the Remadan month...it was a trying period for many non muslims...especially gluttons. We were at the Burjuman Mall during lunch hour...bought burgers/drinks at Burger King for take away. As a mark of respect ..non muslims are not allow to consume food/drink or even smoke in public places. If you are caught...a penalty of about 500 Dhm will be imposed!
Coming to the burgers...one of my stupid colleagues was on the verge of a breakdown...he literally dashed to the GENTS...half an hour later...he came out with a broad smile on his stupid face..i detected some tomato sauce on the edge of his lips. "you know something? there are so many guys in the GENTS eating their burgers!" he whispered into my ear.
Last week, we were passing by a barber shop in Bur Dubai..and I was amused by this scene within. The barber was using a fine thread to remove unwanted hairs on the client's face.
It's an old tradition back home which I have not seen for a very long time. Usually, it's done on a lady's face...sometimes the legs too.
A point to note..don't ever attempt this act if your pain threshold is low!
Are u familiar with this beauty treatment? :)

AHAHA ! Black Feline posted a new message !
Perhaps have I yet told you about the birth of my daughter during the ramadan.
It was special.
I must wait the day !!!
Yes, I must !!!
And if possible not when it was time to break the fast !
Ahaha !
You know what ?
In France in the past the hair dresser was specialist for men or women and the men hairdresser used to cut the hair in the nose or the ear. With small scissors. But now,the hairdresser is for both male and female and don't do that job now.
What a shame to have men with hair in the nose and on the ears !

I saw the thread removal thing being done in the hair salon at the Dubai Marina earlier this year. It was the first time I'd seen it!

It's very common in salons in Dubai, for women to have threading done...
As for men eating in the toilets... disgusting. Do you have any idea how much bacteria is in the air in there? When you smell something, that's because there are tiny particles of that thing in the air.

I've heard of it. Sounds painful.
Funny about the burgers in the men's room! My husband got a laugh out of that too.

how else do you think girls get their eyebrows shaped and their 'upperlip' clean?
when my ex got it done on his face... i remember the tears!
but then again... we all know women can handle alot more physical pain than men ;)
8:32 PM

9:18 PM

i'm sure every male deserves it for one reason or another!

I have never heard of this. I am a sensitive soul, so I am sure I would never try it!

It's called threading. I have read that it's origins are from the ancient civilizations (Harrapan?) in the region that is now NW India and Pakistan.
To shape our eyebrows, ladies have to meticulously pluck, have them threaded, or waxed.
Plucking is less painful, but takes incredible patience and skill. Waxing and threading both hurt a lot! Therefore, when I get my eyebrows groomed, I opt for whichever method the aesthetician professes her expertise!

.
This was a fascinating eye-opener, thank you.

absurd thought -
God of the Universe says
FORCE everyone to fast
people must not be tempted
by seeing infidels eat
